CRISSP

CRISSP (Client Relationship Information System for Service Providers) is a client information, case management and reporting system developed by the Department of Human Services for Victorian community service organisations (CSOs).

The Centre has an important role in advocating on behalf of the child and family welfare sector to ensure CRISSP meets the needs of service providers, and supports them in their service delivery and in meeting the reporting requirements of DHS.

To progress this aim, the Centre participates in related DHS reference groups, but also convenes the CRISSP Forum for CEOs and Senior Managers, which commenced in September 2008.

Among the issues considered by the Forum are:

  • The development and improvement of reports available to the sector through CRISSP
  • The roll-out of CRISSP to new areas, such as the planned transition of family services to the system in 2010
  • Ownership of data and status of CSO records
  • DHS communication of CRISSP policy and practice to the sector
  • Input of the sector in major decisions about implementation and related CRISSP issues

The Forum is a vital channel through which the sector is able to voice its ideas and concerns about CRISSP. CSOs wishing to engage in the Forum through representation by their CEO or a senior manager are encouraged to contact Darren Lewin-Hill, Policy and Project Leader, Membership and Sector Development on 03 9094 3520 (direct), or by email to darren.lewin-hill@cwav.asn.au.

Further DHS information about CRISSP can be found at the CRISSP website.
